Jane Carter lives in Narrandera, NSW, with her husband, Richard. Two years ago they moved, together with their beloved stud Corriedale flock to the Riverina. Raising five children, farming, and helping to run a livestock transport business kept her busy until a few years ago when the last of the children left home and she started writing. Her first book, A Dream Of Something More, was published in 2009 followed by High Country Secrets in 2014. Although she worked in film and television before she was married, forty-seven years in the country have made her passionate about rural Australia, the farmers and the townies she lives among. She loves their stud sheep, adores her grandchildren and anything at all to do with boats. These pictures show our life now.

Dear Jane… I have just read High Country Secrets, it took me back to my time with you . The main characters were all so well developed, and believable, all the endless hicups to true love. I hope you enjoyed writing it, I loved reading it.

I never knew you were a bit of a bikey ! Sydney fish market I know well, and we miss it but I did not know not the veg market, but I could feel the Aussie banter and energy, and you built up a great picture of it.
